Alabama

Alabama has issued a stay-at-home order, effective April 4. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

Some Driver Licenses locations have closed, residents are encouraged to contact their local office before visiting to ensure it is open for business. All Alabama driver licenses have a 60-day grace period following the expiration date. Driver license reinstatement services will be taken care of by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) via phone or mail. Alaska

As of March 28, Alaska has banned all in-state travel unless it is for “critical personal needs.” Please note regarding the Alaska COVID-19 Health Mandate, Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer are considered “separate communities.”

Arizona

Arizona has issued a “Stay home, Stay healthy, Stay connected” order, effective March 31. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

Arizona MVD office visits are limited to customers who need essential services that must be done in person. Renewal requirements for all Arizona driver licenses are extended six months from the expiration date. Visit the Arizona Department of Transportation website for the latest information. Regarding installation certificates, ignition interlock customers should make an appointment to take the document to the MVD, call ADOT call center at 602-255-0072.

Arkansas

As of April 8, no stay-at-home has been issued in the State of Arkansas. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

For specific information regarding your suspended driver’s license, please contact your nearest Driver Control Office. Although a reopening date has been announced for some businesses, courts will be dependent on each municipality within the county.

California

California has issued a stay at home order, except for essential needs. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

All California DMV offices are temporarily closed, and appointments are currently not available. The state advises residents to check the Online Services page for their DMV needs. Visit the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles website for the latest information.

Connecticut

A “Stay Safe, Stay Home” order has been issued in the State of Connecticut. All Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) branch offices are closed until further notice. The DMV will provide services to customers by phone, online, and via mail. 

According to the “Any violation and penalty associated with failing to meet the 30-day recalibration of the ignition interlock device will be waived between March 10, 2020, and June 8, 2020.” For more updates from the DMV, please visit https://CTDMV.info

Florida

Florida has issued a statewide stay at home order, as of April 3. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. Visit the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) website for the latest information.

Florida driver licenses that will expire between March 16 – April 15 will be given a 30-day extension beyond the current expiration date. All FLHSMV offices are closed as of March 19; this includes local driver license and motor vehicle service centers, Bureau for Administrative Reviews, Florida Highway Patrol stations. Services will continue to be offered online via GoRenew.com, by phone and email.

Georgia

A stay at home order has been issued in the state of Georgia as of April 3. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) has advised providers to extend serving your ignition interlock device from 30 to 90 days without compliance. Offices are open for commercial driving services only, and the DDS is urging customers to consider using their online services. Also, most licenses DDS will issue a 120-day extension. Idaho

As of March 25, Idaho has issued a self-isolate order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

The Idaho Department of Transportation has extended driver’s license expiration dates. All licenses that will expire between March 1 and May 31 will be valid through June 30. Visit the Idaho Transportation Department website for the latest information.

Illinois

A stay at home order is in place in the State of Illinois. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

Illinois Driver Services facilities and Secretary of State offices are closed. Driver licenses expiration dates will be extended at least 30 days after facilities reopen for business. Services are available online.

Iowa

Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. Iowa Department driver’s license service centers are open for essential services, by appointment only. Visit the Iowa Department of Transportation website for the latest information.

Kansas

The state of Kansas has issued a statewide stay at home order as of March 30. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.  Ignition interlock customers should schedule future appointments as early as possible to prevent any interruption in service and driving privileges. Customers have been granted a 60-day calibration extension at the time of your next calibration. 

All Kansas Department of Revenue offices are currently closed to the public. Questions about driver’s licenses and other Division of Vehicle services can be directed to kdor_dovdl@ks.gov. Driver’s license renewals are extended and must be completed within 60 days of the stay at home expiration date. 

Louisiana

A statewide stay at home order is currently in place in the state of Louisiana. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. Office of motor vehicle locations are closed until further notice. Maryland

As of March 30, Maryland residents are under a statewide stay at home order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. All Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration offices are closed until further notice.

All driver’s licenses that expire or eligible for renewal during this time will not expire until 30-days after the stay at home order is lifted.

Massachusetts

Massachusetts residents Statewide are currently under stay-at-home advisory, effective March 24. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

The following 8 Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) offices are open for “for certain necessary and required in-person transactions”: Boston, Brockton, Fall River, Lawrence, Pittsfield, Plymouth, Springfield, and Worcester. The RMV offices will be operating on an appointment-only basis. Appointment reservations can be scheduled online. Michigan

Effective March 24, Michigan residents are under a statewide “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

Minnesota

Minnesota has been under s statewide stay at home order as of March 27. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

Minnesota Department of Public Safety Driver and Vehicle Services offices are closed; this includes exam stations, deputy registrar, and driver’s license agent offices. The DPS-DVS staff is available to answer questions via the driver services questions and vehicle services questions contact forms.

Missouri

As of April 6, Missouri is under a statewide stay at home order. The state will be allowing a one-time 60 day calibration extension.

Montana

Effective March 28, Montana is under a shelter in place order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

If you are required to obtain an ignition interlock device, the Motor Vehicle Division will not issue a probationary license until the installation is complete. Customers should schedule their appointments as early as possible to prevent any interruption in service and driving privileges. Nebraska

As of April 8, no statewide stay-at-home have been issued in the State of Nebraska. The Governor has issued an executive order to “Temporarily Ease Driver and Vehicle Requirements.”

If you need to obtain an ignition interlock permit, you may be able to do so online; some restrictions may apply. The monthly calibration and reporting requirement period has been extended by two-weeks for all ignition interlock customers. Driver licenses expiring on or after March 1, will be extended until 30 days after the order is lifted.

Nevada

As of April 1, Nevada has issued a statewide stay at home order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

New Hampshire

Effective March 27, New Hampshire is under a statewide stay at home order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

The Division of Motor Vehicles has transitioned to phone and online services starting and limited appointment-only services at some locations. All non-commercial driver licenses that expire between March 1 and April 30 are eligible for a 6-month extension.

New Jersey

All driver licenses expiring before May 31 have been extended by two months. All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission agencies are closed to the public.

New Mexico

Effective March 24, New Mexico is under a statewide stay at home order. New York

As of March 22, New York has issued a statewide “New York State on PAUSE” order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

All Department of Motor Vehicle field offices are closed, and all road test has been suspended until further notice. Driver licenses that are set to expire on or after March 1 have been extended. New York courts remain open for essential business.

North Dakota

As of April 8, no statewide stay-at-home order is in place in North Dakota. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) staff will work remotely to continue to service customers, providing online or mail-in services only. Driver license expiration dates have been waived from March 1 until the order is lifted.

Ohio

Effective March 23, Ohio is under a statewide stay at home order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) has closed some deputy registrar locations. The locations that remain open will provide limited services. Drivers licenses that have expired during the State of Emergency will remain valid 90 days after the order is lifted or December 1, 2020, whichever comes first. Oklahoma

As of April 8, there is no statewide stay-at-home order in place; only “high-risk” persons are asked to stay at home.” The cities of Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Norman have issued stay-at-home orders. Oregon

Effective March 23, Oregon is under a statewide “Stay Home, Save Lives” order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

Some Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle offices are open by appointment only, for commercial driver testing, driver licenses issuance and replacement.

Regarding ignition interlock customers, calibration periods have been extended to 90 days plus a 14 day grace period for a total of 104 days. Lockouts due to missed appointments will be waived until further notice. Customers who are suffering from COVID-19 may seek help from family members, friends, to assist in maintaining calibration appointments. Also, customers who have agreed to shorter calibration periods (i.e., 30 days, 45 days) may extend to 60 days if the terms of your lease allow it. All other laws and ignition interlock related requirements will remain in full effect.

Pennsylvania

Effective April 1, Pennsylvania is under a statewide stay at home order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. Pennsylvania has approved 90-day monthly ignition interlock calibration interval.

Tennessee

Effective March 31, Tennessee is under a statewide stay at home order. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. 

The Tennessee Ignition Interlock Program has implemented the following protocols: 

  • All required monthly services are suspended until June 15, 2020; services will then resume on the originally scheduled day of the month. 
  • If service is required, you must provide all necessary breath samples. 
  • If you are unable to have the ignition interlock device removed upon compliance during this period, there shall be no monthly lease charge for the extended period.

The Tennessee Ignition Interlock Program advises the following:

  • To reduce the chance of incurring a high BAC violation, use sanitizer outside of your vehicle and allow your hands to dry before giving a test. 
  • Always provide a passing retest within 10 minutes for any fails.

Texas

Texas has issued a statewide stay at home order as of April 2. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time. Various counties in Texas have extended the required service periods for ignition interlock devices.

Dallas County- Ignition interlock service periods will be extended to accommodate clients, on a case by case basis.

Travis County- Customers with a service date from April 15 – May 8,2020 can have their calibration date extended out 45 days upon request.

Utah

The State of Utah has issued a“Stay Safe, Stay Home” directive. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

Virginia

The Commission on Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) advises all ignition interlock participants to contact their local Alcohol Safety Action Program directly should you have any questions. The state will approve a 30-day ignition interlock service period extension in an emergency situation.

Washington

Washington has issued a stay at home order, effective March 23. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

If you have been ordered by the court to get an ignition interlock device installed in your vehicle and you need an extension, you must obtain approval from the court. Calibration periods have been extended, and if your term is shorter than 60 days, you may extend to 60 days if your lease allows.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin has issued a stay at home order, effective March 25. Draeger Interlock service centers are considered an essential business, some install locations may have altered hours, but we will continue to service our customers during this time.

Wisconsin Department of Transportation in-person services will be limited by appointment only. Administrative Suspension hearings will be offered by telephone (or paper) only. Wyoming
